Neck circumference positively related with central obesity, overweight and metabolic

AbstractObjective:To investigate the association between neck circumference and central obesity, overweight as well as metabolic syndrome in Chinese individuals with type 2 diabetes.
Research Design and Methods:3182 diabetic subjects (20-80 years) were recruited from 15 community health centers in Beijing using a multi-stage random sampling approach.
Results:
Receiver operating characteristics analysis showed that the area under curve for the neck circumference and central obesity was 0.77 for men, 0.75 for women, respectively (p
