Which is better. (Shoe question.)?

I need to know which are better shoes to get for a toddler once they start walking, straps of laced? This is my first child and I never really participated in child upbringing so I have very little information one how to care for a child. I also live alone thus making it more difficult for me.

parenting tips and guilds are readily available on the internet if you have some time to search for them. Basically you will need to keep checking the shoes every few weeks to make sure there is still room for the toes since lack of room space could result in bent toes on a child.
