Does anyone have any success stories in regards to tackling their anxiety? Have you found any coping methods that have made life so much easier for you?

The first time I experience anxiety, a therapist had me go through The Anxiety and Phobia Workbook which was packed full of tools and awareness-producing activities:
I've also found great support with Emotional Freedom Technique. (You'll have to google those, as I can't put links here yet) Having compassion for myself in regards to anxiety (mostly social anxiety) is what really helped me. telling myself it was okay to be scared to do something or to be around people I don't know, etc. Jeanette Last edited by Sysop; October 9th, 2008 at 09:57 PM. Cbt
I have found CBT very helpful in dealing with Anxiety and Depression.
Cognitive-behavioral therapy is based on the idea that our thoughts cause our feelings and behaviors, not external things, like people, situations, and events. The benefit of this fact is that we can change the way we think to feel / act better even if the situation does not change.
