Unhappy Suicide? depression? help?

The other week I think I attempted suicide, I took hydros ( which I take for back pain. ) and drank a lot. I blacked out and got really sick. My friends didn't know why, they were going to take me to the hospital but they jsut let me sleep. No one knows, everyone just thinks I was drinking. My mom's mad at me because I was out drinking and I am underage, but I wasn't doing it for fun. How do I tell her the truth so that she will believe me? I really need some help and don't even know where to start. I have really bad issues with cutting and have been extremely suicidal lately. I am absolutely terrified of myself and who i've become. I don't know where to start and it's getting out of hand. I would love any advice.

Find someone to talk to right now! Look in the phone book for a crisis help line, and call the number right away.

It sounds like your mom cares about you. Underage drinking is very scary to parents, and sometimes what comes out as anger is really fear. Try again to explain, and tell her how depressed you are. Tell her you need her help.

hey. first of all, you're underaged and you drink. that's bad. i'm 18 and i never took a sip of alcohol, cause i've seen what drinking does to people. i don't want any of it. do you want to share why you are suicidal? if it's too personal or too hard for you to tell, it's okay. your mom loves you. don't think about suicide and cutting. keep yourself occupied with activities. be a reason for someone else's smile if you haven't found your reason to smile.

Depressed people may lose interest in activities that once were pleasurable, or suffer cognitive impairments. They may contemplate or attempt suicide.

As a mom myself, I urge you to tell your mom that you really need to talk. I know how a mom's heart aches when her child is hurting. Tell her what you posted here. I also understand her anger, if this behavior has become chronic for you. Have you sought professional help? It sounds like you really need it at this point. You need to summon all your strength right now and reach out for hope.
