Default Money For Bail Outs

Can anyone tell me where the gov. is going to get all the billions for relief, bailing out home owners who got in over their heads and bailing out the banks that were dumb enough to approve those loans at 0% down?

IMHO if people would tell the truth we are a big fat depression but nobody seems to want to admit it.

Maybe congress will take a big cut in pay. Oh my, I think my brain just slipped a clog.

The proposal is a mere three pages long, but it gives sweeping powers to the government to dispense gigantic sums of taxpayer dollars in a program that would be sheltered from court review.

The proposal would raise the statutory limit on the national debt from $10.6 trillion to $11.3 trillion to make room for the massive rescue.
Your tax dollars at work and in Georgie's usual fashion, nobody's allowed to ask questions about how the money is spent or about the long-term plan for dealing with the underlying problems that put us in this mess to begin with.

Maybe Bush will donate his last year's salary and expense account. Not gonna hold my breath.

Hi All,

What about the responsibility that we should have for our own decisions? During this time, I personally was cleared for a home that cost 2 times what I spent on my current home from my own bank, and one of the "questionable" lenders approved me for (get this) $950,000! Ok, didn't really take a genius to see that there was going to be a problem there. I'm just really hoping that some honest to goodness common sense can prevail in a little bit of this finger pointing...what about pointing the finger back at ourselves? Instead of bashing government (Republican, Democrat, doesn't matter for what I'm talking about - politicians are evil misleading creatures by nature...who else could smile and shake hands with the leader responsible for killing so many of their fellow Americans during a peace talk. They are what they are), how about if we look for the positives in our daily lives and focus on that for awhile, maybe if we make our small part of the world brighter, the rest of the world will follow suit.

Greg, it is very difficult to look at just my world when at this time there is so much corruption in our country. Who in the heck can agree that the head of a bank should receive 650,000 for letting his back go under? Where is the justice.... We need a change, but we are individuals cannot make that change, nor should we stay in our small part of the world. It just ain't gonna work.

Why should we bail out corrupt bank instituations, why should we bail out people who buy houses for nothing down and think it is the great American dream, why should we bail out Wall Street? Wall Street? If they need bailing out they should go to AKC and learn how to track records and never sell short or long!

It is also of my opinion that the people who had their houses foreclosed on lived some place before they got the "free" downpayent on their house. They should go rent some place and save their money

If your question is... have you voted, I can say YES, we vote by mail in ballot.

IMHO this bail out is going to do nothing but hurt the elderly and needy people. They have already started to cut VA help. The gov. lies, for exaple 11 million dollars was allocated for border patrol. Only thing is the money was never spent.

Okay I am ranting... the last thing I will say is the U.S. gov is not responsible for bailing out corrupt institutions. The U.S. gov. is us, the citizens. Why do we protest and Congress continues on it's way without as much as a by your leave?
