I want to quit smoking can you help giving me tips to do it

I recently quit smoking (December 2008) and recommend doing plety of research, a coupld of great how to books I kept by my bedside and they gave me plenty of little tips throughout the day to overcome the addiction.
If you can, steer clear of tiggers like office morig teas outside and drinking occasions for the first few weeks. And make use of patches, tablets and gum as much as you need, I found having it all on hand lessened excuse times when it would be easier to smoke rather than breathe or walk outside. Brush your teeth often and throw all all of your smoking stuff, right down to lighters and ashtrays.

hi Pilar,
First of all u should have trust on u that u can stop smoking..so that u have to set your mind. Second small practice.. Do some deep breathing each day for 3 to 5 minutes. Breathe in through your nose very slowly, hold the breath for a few seconds, and exhale very slowly through your mouth. Try doing your breathing with your eyes closed. |

Smoking is not good for health and its better to be quit and it has side effects and it leads to lungs cancer and as well as mouth cancer. Tobacco have nicotine which causes some of illness like TB, Stress, Depression etc.

Well before using any medicine First of all u've needed self controll on it little bit . Then u should try nicotine Patches . or u should dissuess it with ur docotor . They can give u Good advice .

Some effective tips might be helpful to quite smoking: Do consult your doctor and follow his advice, Keep your teeth clean, Make your quit day special, Put money you would spend on cigarettes in a saving box and plan for a treat tomorrow, Avoid going to places where you might find smokers, Do start exercise and try to be regular.

I have to say that Smoking is very difficult to give up . people who use to smoke can give it themselves . Moreover, it may cause so many diseases . |

Smoking is very harmful for the health. Smoking causes cancer and many heart diseases. The first thing you must have a self commitment which will increase your motivation level than you give up the smoking.

The first thing which is necessity for this is a will of your self.Secondly electric cigarettes are available in market which can help you to give up smoking in just 2 months.But ultimately the most important thing is your will and determination to quit smoking.
