Unsupportive parents

I really am sad and lost.

I am doing my best in everything possible, but nothing seems to work out.
I am a Grad student. I joined Grad school because I didn't want to end up like my mom who is very unhappy in her marriage. She has been through constant mental abuse, she has lost all her confidence.

But despite all that she is unsupportive of my decision to pursue education. And so is my dad. They wanted me to get married and settle down.

I am trying to look for funding to support my education but nothing seems to work out.
I have friends but i can't really talk to them about all this, and I don't think they will understand, they all come from very stable families.

I want to cry out loud to my heart's content but can't even do that because I am always surrounded by people and I don't want to create a scene or put them in an awkward position.

Help me. I don't know what help to ask for but I really need help.

Hi Im only 16 years old, and i dont know much about life, but i think you should confide in someone. Maybe one of your friends. If theyre your friends, they will understand and try to help. Bottleling up those feelings is bad, trust me. Thats how my dad was and he turned to alchohol for an outlet. I wouldnt want you tp do that, or use sone other bad thing. Continue persuing your dreams. Where theres a will theres a way, remember that. Talk to someone, it will not only help you, but it will make you feel better. Wish you the best of luck, keep in touch.
